Just Pack Your Birthday Suit

Palm Springs, CA | Santiago Resort

Picture
What better way to experience nature than by going au naturel? Service and amenities galore make this clothing optional resort a true standout among the gay men's properties around Palm Springs. With 23 beautifully appointed rooms, this property rivals many national brands.  Well-maintained grounds surround the largest heated pool of any gay resort in the city, while sunrise and sunset views from the hot tub are pretty incredible, too. The atmosphere is fun, relaxed and the guests are always super friendly. Even the ones wearing clothes. - Steven Lindsey

5 Reasons to Visit Santiago Resort

Free breakfast, lunch & all-day snacks
The complimentary self-service morning meal includes Starbucks coffee and a variety of fresh fruit, cereal, breads and pastries. You can also pre-order a free "Stay n Splash" poolside lunch featuring a specialty sandwich, wrap or salad of your choice from a local eatery, also included in the price.

Clothing optional
Go as bare as you dare, whether you're a twink or a bear. Or anything in between. There's usually a mixture of men in swimsuits and those letting it all hang out, but life's short so why not go naked? You'll never see most of these people ever again anyway. Just make sure you use sunscreen everywhere.

Spacious, well-appointed rooms
Some of the gay resorts in Palm Springs have more of a vacation rental vibe with a mish-mash of furnishings in every unit, but Santiago Resort has a wonderful sense of style and a great attention to detail around every corner. From the bedroom to the bathroom, you'll find every creature comfort you could ever need.

Nudity is a funny thing (and not just because seeing so many flopping wieners makes me laugh). City regulations don't allow clothing optional facilities to sell alcohol, which can be a fantastic thing for the budget if you plan ahead and buy booze to keep in the room or in a cooler by your deck chair.

Heated pool + jacuzzi
Sure, Palm Springs often feels like it's 312° Fahrenheit  outside, but in winter months it can actually get quite chilly. But at Santiago Resort, that doesn't mean you can't still have a little watery fun in the sun—or by the light of the moon.
In addition to writing about vacation experiences paid for with their own money, writers for Travel Like An Adult often travel at the expense of featured properties or destinations in exchange for coverage consideration. However, the Travel Like An Adult editors will never publish a recommendation for any reason if we do not find the vacation experience up to our standards. We provide honest feedback and will never recommend a place simply because we stayed there for free or at a discount. Similarly, sponsored posts are marked accordingly. Thank you!
